On National Voter Registration Day, One of Trump’s Rigged-Election Scheme Lies in Ruins After Another Supreme Court Defeat
Today is National Voter Registration Day, and eligible Americans are getting ready to vote in every single state ahead of November, no matter what Donald Trump says or does.
WASHINGTON, DC — Today is National Voter Registration Day, and eligible Americans are getting ready to vote in every single state ahead of November, no matter what Donald Trump says or does. That comes on the heels of the Supreme Court on Monday rejecting Trump’s bid to gut mail voting nationwide, leaving the process safe, secure, and unencumbered in every state that offers it. Even Trump’s appointees knew they couldn’t let the mail ballot scheme stand this close to an election, warning it would sow chaos for state and local officials with no time left to comply.
It is only the latest defeat in a losing streak that now stretches past 21 straight court losses for the administration’s attempts to seize state voter data, plus a Supreme Court rebuff of Trump’s Missouri gerrymander and now this week’s mail ballot ruling. Trump keeps trying to rig the midterms, and courts keep saying no.
“Every single time Donald Trump has tried to rig this election, he has lost, and today is no different,” said Abhi Rahman, Try And Stop Us Spokesperson. “Trump knows he can’t win a fair fight in November, so he has spent all year trying to cheat his way out of it, and he keeps striking out. Mail voting is safe. Registering to vote is easy. Every eligible American can still make their voice heard, and no amount of lies out of the White House can change that. On National Voter Registration Day, our message is simple: get registered, because we’re winning the fight to protect your vote.”
