Busted: DHS’s Own Emails Prove Trump’s “Noncitizen Voter” Crisis Was Fabricated From Thin Air

WASHINGTON, DC — Trump’s DHS got caught red-handed. Newly obtained emails first reported by Votebeat and Spotlight PA expose exactly how the administration cooked up the 250,000 noncitizen voters lie Trump used in his July 16 primetime address to justify purging voters and hauling election officials into court. DHS’s September 9 letter to Pennsylvania admits the state’s alleged 14,576-person share of that number was manufactured by matching first name, last name, birthdate, phone number, and address against immigration databases, blowing up its own July claim that it used Social Security numbers. Two months later, Pennsylvania still hasn’t seen a single name. It was never real, and DHS knew it.

The same rogue unit, USCIS’s “Fraud Detection and National Security Directorate,” is now at the center of this week’s whistleblower disclosure exposing an “Unlawful Voter Initiative”: staffers yanked off real casework, given two hours of training, and ordered to churn through running 40 names a day against state systems. When Pennsylvania’s Republican election chief, Al Schmidt, said DHS staff privately admitted the number was garbage, DHS smeared him as a liar. Attorney General Blanche told reporters this week the hunt continues anyway, one day after the Supreme Court slapped down Trump’s mail-ballot power grab 7-2.

DHS got caught lying about its methodology. DHS told Pennsylvania in July it used Social Security numbers. Its September 9 email admits it actually matched on name, birthdate, phone, and address, no explanation offered, and calls flimsy matches “lower confidence but likely still the same individual.”

Two months later, still zero names. DHS promised Pennsylvania a full list of the 14,576 people it flagged. It has produced nothing.

DHS is smearing the Republican who caught them. Al Schmidt said DHS staff privately conceded the number was shaky. DHS is now branding his account a “blatant mischaracterization.”

Every one of DHS’s claims has collapsed under scrutiny. Texas confirmed 7 charges out of 18 million registered voters while clearing 578 DHS-flagged names as citizens. Nevada’s DHS figure cratered from 15,903 to 185.

DHS is doubling down instead of coming clean. Senators Schumer and Padilla gave Mullin until Monday, September 21, to answer for the Unlawful Voter Initiative. AG Blanche has already made clear the administration plans to keep running the scheme.
